Which power supply does the QNAP TS-231P use?
The TS-231P is powered by an external 12V DC adapter (60W). The original QNAP adapter can be replaced by any 12V DC adapter with the same barrel connector, correct polarity and at least the same wattage. The required connector is 5.5 × 2.1/2.5 mm barrel (combi plug), polarity center-positive.
Can I use a power supply with a higher amperage rating?
Yes. The device only draws the current it needs. A higher amperage rating is safe. Never use a higher voltage.
