What your replacement adapter needs

Know the values already? Fill in two values, we calculate the third. Use the output side: the 100–240 V is the wall-socket side.

Your photo is only used to read the label with AI and is not stored on our servers.

From "which adapter?" to the right one in three steps

  1. Photograph the labelOn the adapter, or on the device itself if the adapter is lost.
  2. We read the valuesVolts, amps, watts, plug and polarity, checked against what your device needs.
  3. Order the adapter that fitsDelivered in Belgium and the Netherlands, with a 2-year warranty and 30 days to return.

Why a wrong adapter is worse than none

Everything you need to avoid this is printed on the label. You only need to know where to look, or let us look for you.

How to read a power adapter label

A power adapter label lists two sides: the input from the wall socket and the output to your device. For a replacement in the EU, only the output counts.

Example of a power adapter label: output 48 V 1.25 A, centre positive
OUTPUT or DC OUT
The line you need, for example OUTPUT: 48V ⎓ 1.25A. The ⎓ symbol means direct current (DC).
INPUT 100–240V ~ 50/60Hz
The wall-socket side. Almost every adapter accepts this, so you can skip it when you compare.
Voltage (V)
Must be exactly the same as the original adapter.
Current (A or mA)
Equal or higher is fine: the device only draws what it needs. 1500 mA is 1.5 A.
Power (W)
Volts × amps, so 48 V × 1.25 A = 60 W. Equal or higher is fine.
Polarity symbol ⊖–C–⊕
Shows which part of the plug is plus. When the + points to the centre dot, the adapter is centre positive, the most common type.
Plug size
Rarely printed. The common barrel plugs 5.5 × 2.1 mm and 5.5 × 2.5 mm look almost the same, so check your device or measure the plug.

Lost the adapter? Can I photograph a sticker on my device instead?

Yes. Look for a sticker or print on the device itself, usually on the bottom or the back, near the power socket. If it shows a voltage (V) together with a current (A) or a power in watts (W), for example DC 12V ⎓ 5A or Input: 12V 60W, photograph it. The scanner reads those values as what the replacement adapter must deliver and does its best to identify it.

A device sticker rarely shows the plug size or polarity. Check those yourself in the list of values, or ask us and we will help you find the right adapter.

Questions

Can I use a power adapter with more amps?

Yes, as long as the voltage is the same. Your device only draws the current it needs, so a 12 V 5 A adapter safely replaces a 12 V 3 A one.

Can I use an adapter with a higher or lower voltage?

No. Use exactly the voltage on the label. A higher voltage will damage your device, a lower one can make it restart or not start at all.

The label is worn or unreadable. What now?

Type in the values you can still read. You can also try to scan the sticker on the device itself. Still stuck? Send us a photo and we will check it for you.

Is my photo stored?

No. The photo is only used to read the label and is not stored on our servers.
