How to verify this is the right power supply

Frequently asked questions
Which power supply does the WD My Cloud use?
The My Cloud is powered by an external 12V DC adapter (36W). The original WD adapter can be replaced by any 12V DC adapter with the same barrel connector, correct polarity and at least the same wattage.
Can I use a power supply with a higher amperage rating?
Yes. The device only draws the current it needs. A higher amperage rating is safe. Never use a higher voltage.
Is this an original WD power supply?
This is a compatible replacement adapter that meets or exceeds the original specifications, is CE-certified and tested before shipping. It is not manufactured by WD.
