Has your internet suddenly dropped and does the light on your UniFi Security Gateway (USG) stay off, or does it keep restarting? Then your whole network is down. On the USG the adapter is a known weak spot: it often gives out over time while the gateway itself still works perfectly. This power supply gives your USG the 12V it needs again, with plenty of power to spare. Plug it in and as soon as the USG has booted, your internet, firewall and UniFi network are back.
Check the label on your original Ubiquiti adapter. It should read Output: 12V DC ⎓ 5A with a center-positive polarity symbol. The barrel connector measures 5.5 × 2.1/2.5 mm barrel (combi plug). If your adapter shows different values, it is not the right model.
The USG is powered by an external 12V DC adapter (60W). The original Ubiquiti adapter can be replaced by any 12V DC adapter with the same barrel connector, correct polarity and at least the same wattage. The required connector is 5.5 × 2.1/2.5 mm barrel (combi plug), polarity center-positive.
Yes. The device only draws the current it needs. A higher amperage rating is safe. Never use a higher voltage.
This is a compatible replacement adapter that meets or exceeds the original specifications, is CE-certified and tested before shipping. It is not manufactured by Ubiquiti.
